How it works

Three concepts, one flow

All of Provengine rests on three things: the definition of the work, its assignment, and the task that gets produced. They are separate for one reason — they change at different speeds.

1

The definition — what the work is

The steps of a store-opening check are revisited once a year. The steps, the questions, the photos you want and the approval mode live here. Who does it does not.

2

The assignment rule — who, and when

Which stores run that routine, and on what rhythm, changes constantly. So it is a separate record: the same definition can go to the stores daily at 09:00 and to the depot weekly at 17:00. No copying — and a copy is the thing somebody forgets to update.

3

The task — the concrete work

When a rule runs, a task is produced: one team, one day, one deadline. Editing the definition later leaves open tasks alone — a person fills in the form they were shown.

An example, end to end

A retail chain's morning routine.
